UPDATE: The story written by Ed Bloodsworth at KTKA got picked up on the CNN Wire and has now spread to the Kansas City media. Thank you for everyone’s support. It is really inspiring and uplifting to us that you all have helped us out so much.
ORIGINAL POST:
Thank you so much to everyone for their kindness and generosity for donating to the Rock Chalk and Roll Tide movement. This trip would not be possible without you. Your contributions are essential to making this trip a success.
We also need to thank many of our local media members for their coverage of the trip:
- Christine Curtin and The University Daily Kansan/KansanTV
- Aaron Reeves and KSNT 27 Topeka
- Ed Bloodsworth and KTKA 49 Topeka
- Theo Hayes and 6News Lawrence
We still have a long way to go.
If you would still like to donate, head over to the “How Can I Help?” page for all the information. Or, feel free to come out to the Hy-Vee on West 6th Street in Lawrence and meet some of our students in person. They will be there from 4-8pm on Saturday and Sunday collecting donations.
Again, thank you for making this trip possible. We could not be more excited for the 23rd to get here!

KU Baseball plays Alabama A&M, a school that is located around Huntsville, Alabama. This might be a good event for you to go to in order to collect additional donations and inform people about your upcoming trip.
